Hi everyone. This is going to be frustrating for many of you, however I am sure that each and every one of you have been in my position, both upon entering the realm of speed skydiving, and also when you first started jumping. I have only 69 jumps and have set my sights on speed skydiving. I have spoken to senior guys at my DZ and there was very limited knowlege, some of it conflicting, regarding skill and experience required. I was under the impression that 100 jumps was the minimum, but I was told that it was more like 500 ?? And that the BPA (UK) were reviewing the requirements for training in speed skydiving. I have spent most jumps tracking and sit flying, and my aim is to try speed. I have one pro track and will be purchasing a second. My rig is free fly safe vipre container with sabre 1 main, cypress, and only an open face helmet, but not sure of further safety mods required. Any advice would be happily received.
