I've had several people at my DZ come to me with this story. "2 weeks ago, Luigi Canni (Team EXtreme/Icarus/GoFast) supposedly hit 318MPH. I told them "WHO?? declared it official??" not ISSA. www.gofastsports.com/athletes/index.html#

"Expert Skydiver /Go Fast Athlete Luigi Cani set a new speed record in skydiving this week. Freefalling at a record speed of 343mph!!! (Please note: This jump was not done during competition, but was an individual jump measured by two world standard ProTrak data recorders for accuracy)".
This is not Speed Skydiving. Anyone is free to risk their lives by adding weight do their body in an attempt to claim a "world record" of sorts, or a "guinness world record".
Luigi Canis jump has not been approved as a world record by anyone who knows what they are talking about.
Speed Skydiving is simple: You can't use extra weight and records can only be set in an ISSA sanctioned competition.

;D Greetings to All of the Disciplined Speeders! ;D I was kind of saddened to see all of the press that the weighted one has received for going fast. Fast yes, Disciplined no. Haulin' weighted azz from up high is a tad bit different than haulin' unweighted azz through a couple of measuring gates. I really don't think that I have the courage to run the gates. Part of me says that I might try it. But the other part says..are you crazy to go so FAST so LOW! Don't get me wrong.....I love speed. Got some great top speeds without wearing weights. 320mph plus. But if I decide to get up and go really fast then 350 plus should not be out of range for me. However if I do accomplish these speeds and someone hands me accolades....then I'll refer them to look to the ISSA for the real speeders in this forum. Just a hats off to the ISSA tribe. MaxMadMax
