Well, I was wondering how and/or if anyone else was doing any Speed jumps in this Winter. I am going to the FREEZE FEST at CrossKeys in N.J.(USA) Jan. 29th & 30th I will be doing speed practice from 14,000 feet.

Sorry mate count me out. it's far to cold up there to be doing any form of skydiving, especially speed skydiving. you will not see or hear me till about the middle of March or even 2 days before the Morocco comp . ;D

I have to say that things went well :)but, I placed too much weight on jumping on Sunday. I snowed enough to shut down the Airport. Wearing a t-shirt,a turtle neck, and light jacket(and Summer time gloves) proved to be way too much material and I would sweat the entire ride up/freefall/and under canopy I intend to continue much needed practice through the rest of the WInter with just Turtle neck and tight nylon, long sleeve shirt. God knows, I need the practice ;D

Still jumping as it gets colder (-14 c) at 10,000ft. speeds are lower due to actually wearing a sweater now.

Still jumping as it gets colder (-14 c) at 10,000ft. speeds are lower due to actually wearing a sweater now. actual speed is lower, but pro-track's readings are higher due to greater preassure gradient in colder atmosphere. so you better practice if your winter speed is lower i haven't been jumping since january due to unfortunate skiing accident, but maybe will try coming weekend if we are not snowed in. otherwise, i'll do some jumping in africa hope they have soft landing zone.
